There is a range of ready-made die-cast metal models in 1/72 made by a company in China called Hongwell, also marketed under other brand names including Cararama & Schuco. Although they are not up to the standards of someone like Herpa, they are currently one of the very few known producers of modern die-cast vehicles in this scale. The range falls into two categories: private vehicles, and emergency services vehicles. Each basic body shape is produced in a range of private civil colours, and various emergency services colour schemes such as Police, Fire, Ambulance, etc. Private colours are listed as 'A', emergency schemes as 'B'. For a full list of all the different colour schemes available, visit the unofficial Hongwell site. There is also a die cast producer known as Yujin which has a very small range of Japanese cars.
There have also been the odd one or two produced by other manufacturers over the years like Tomica which have been done more to fit in the available packaging rather than a deliberate attempt to produce in a constant scale.

The Keil Kraft models are plastic kits, and the modern articulated trailer truck kits are the same tooling as ScanKit. Keil Kraft marketed theirs as prime movers only, whereas ScanKit included an articulated trailer in each kit. Until a commercial company produces a kit of such, the trucks make an excellent basis for scratch building models of vehicles seen in the company of aircraft, such as fire emergency vehicles and refuellers.
