Welcome to 72scale.com, a reference resource for scale modellers who build to the scale of 1/72 (1 inch = 6 ft). No other scale in modelling offers quite as much variety nor crosses so many genres as 1/72. This site aims mainly to supply the modeller with a comprehensive and definitive Census of models available commercially or previously available, including aftermarket items & accessories, and some announced items not yet released. There is also the occasional review. By showing the full spectrum of what has been made available, we hope to inspire modellers to widen their horizons and consider modelling subjects they may not have before, and to encourage those considering defection to another scale to remain loyal to 1/72. We also hope to encourage producers by making it easier for them to identify market opportunities and deliniating modellers' expectations as far as new products are concerned. Modellers are encouraged to contribute their opinion of the accuracy and quality of items they have encountered, as well as pictures of models they have built. We also encourage manufacturers to inform us of items they wish to be included in the Census. Detailed information on submission criteria can be found on our Contribute page.
