The new resin Czechmaster kits are a breath of fresh air for Buccaneer fans. They are expensive resin kits, but very comprehensive. We have not personally inspected an example, so we cannot vouch for their shape accuracy, but based on Czechmaster's repuation, they should be good. For those on a limited budget, the Airfix & Frog toolings are inaccurate. The Matchbox one is the only accurate injection moulded kit of a Buccaneer in 1/72, on account of its superior canopy, intakes and nose. The overall outline appears to be more accurate as well. Although the panel lines on the Matchbox kit are far too deep, they can easily be filled. The only advantage offered by the Airfix kit is that it includes a healthy dose of underwing stores; in the form of wing tanks, optional parts for radar guided Martels, TV guided Martels, or Sea Eagles, and a data link pod. It also includes optional parts for the flush or bulged bomb bay door. So either empty your wallet, or marry the Matchbox kit with the various aftermarket parts available, and Airfix's ordnance if you require.
